Some Impressions of the successful Fireshow with 24 fireartists by Project PQ at the Opening ceremony of the  Gay Games 2010. We performed live to the music of the famous singer Taylor Dayne .She performed the song in the middle of the 24 fireartists. Great Emotions at the RheinEnergieStadium.

Exclusively for the opening ceremony of the 8th Gay Games, the biggest sports and culture festival in the world with more than  10,000 participants, which will take place in Cologne on July 31st 2010, Petra Quednau and her team from Project PQ have created a spectacular new production with 24 fire artists. The stage for the show, which will be the highlight of the opening ceremony and which will feature the latest pyrotechnics, is the RheinEnergieStadion. The challenge is to perform for an area of almost 10,000 sqm and to enthuse the audience for the world premiere of the official Gay Games song “Facing a Miracle“, presented by Taylor Dayne. “A fire show of this dimension is something very special. For the performance in a sports stadium you of course need a completely different sense of space than for a normal stage show“, explains Petra Quednau, founder and owner of Project PQ, “For this challenge our experiences from other productions have been very helpful. This time we will present fire and emotion in an XXL format“.

In the course of the three days event to  the car launch of the new Chevrolet in Cologne, the Eventpartner reported on the fire-show, wich was presented by Project PQ. Project PQ presents for the this year's Luminale from the 11.4.2010 up to the 16.4.2010 the illuminated  fire-garden at the Wallanlagen (Tiefgarten) next to the Eschenheimer Turm on the back of the hotel Fleming‘s in Frankfurt. The fire-artists and dancers show every evening at 21 pm a 15 minutes fire-show. The artists show parts from their choreographed shows as well as improvised elements. Project PQ appears at the Luminale in different constellations with in each case at least four artists. So, the spectators experience a new and exciting show each evening. The matching framework for the fireshow delievers a fireworks-company from frankfurt with perfectly arranged pyroeffects and fireeffects to the music and the artists.
