Fireshows for the shop-open night in Mainz
We were also represented this year for the Shop-open night in Mainz again. With a fireshow including a mobile Firetruck we played fireshows at four different places in the Mainzer old part of the town. With altogether 6 fireartists and two capoeira fighters, we showed the public how hot, interessting and modern a fireshow can be. Beside the fireartists the spectators could also see Capoeira on a high-level niveau.Capoeira is a Brazilian fight-dance game, and martial art created by enslaved Africans during the 19th Century. (In the content of Capoeira there are three levels which it includes: the fight, the music and the „Roda " (port). „Circle ", as a social framework, in which the fight takes place. The game is marked by fluid acrobatic play, feints, subterfuge, and extensive use of groundwork, as well as sweeps, kicks, and headbutts. Technique and strategy are the key elements to playing a good game.) The Capoeira fighters showed their fight in a burning circle and whirled with some acrobatics over the fire. Beside the great spectator reactions we also got very good press feedbacks.
